We power washed, stained, caulked, and stained our log cabin. The trim, deck and rain gutters are next summer's project.
Our little homestead is a work in progress. This years motto: Use it up, Wear it out, Make it do, or do without! We have a sweet flock of hens, 9 children (5 are adults and visit now and then) and 3 grandkids who are a delight. We believe in the atonement of Jesus Christ, that kindness is magic, that God created a amazing world for us, and that Life is an joyous adventure!

Wild Winds
Our
first week on the homestead was a wild windy one. Martina and I arrived home
before everyone else to find the tarp on the trailer vigorously blowing in the wind;
in order to save the tarp we opted to remove it. It took all our strength to
hold it down long enough to remove it.
It was the same as we put up a temporary horse shelter for India. We
also love the wild and free feeling we have in owning our property, the freedom our children have and the wild desert around us. Keeping those things in mind we
have named our little piece of desert, Wild Winds Homestead!

Our little city homestead has moved to the country!
We found it the perfect spot for us in Vernon Utah.
With this cute little log cabin!
With a temporary home for the Hens!
The kids and grandbabies love the play set!

And the space.
The dog loves it!
India likes it!

He is not sure if he likes it!
We are personalizing it! I have always wanted to paint cabinets white, but did not dare! Candice Livingston inspired me to just do it!

We can see the rain coming!
The views are not to bad either.
