The quote of the trip- Me: Clarissa do you like it here? Clarissa: Yes, I like the dogs and I like the horses....I want my own 22 acres!"
We had a really great time. It was nice to let the kids wander and play. My husband enjoyed it too!
Our little homestead is a work in progress. This years motto: Use it up, Wear it out, Make it do, or do without! We have a sweet flock of hens, 9 children (5 are adults and visit now and then) and 3 grandkids who are a delight. We believe in the atonement of Jesus Christ, that kindness is magic, that God created a amazing world for us, and that Life is an joyous adventure!

Update
We had a great fall and a very nice Christmas. Winter was good to us and the chicken lived! We lost our Maddie dog and we miss our basset hound. We had a three day Easter celebration. We started with dying eggs and hunting them on Friday with the grandbabies. The Easter bunny came on Saturday! On on the sabbath we celebrated the Resurrection of Christ with our church attendance followed by a family dinner. Martina objected to us eating good food while she was a BYUI and unable to come home. D'artagnan & Kiersta came over and Emily, Shawn and Channing stopped by. I have been coordinating outfits for family photos on April 20 and planning a trip to visit my brother, Spencer and his family. With the trip done, we are moving on to pictures and the backyard.
